The story behind SandGoGo.

My name is Samir Hanna Safar, and I have lived near the beach for more than 38 years.

I love the beach. But there is one thing I have never loved: the sand that comes home with you.

For years it was the same routine. I would kick off my shoes, walk on the sand, and then pay for it afterward — hunting for somewhere to rinse my feet, or giving up and tracking sand through the house all the way to the shower. Wearing shoes did not help; the sand just worked its way in and clung to the soles. And when the kids came back from the beach, their feet and shoes were covered too.

Then I started noticing it was not just me. Everywhere I looked, people were crowded around the outdoor showers and water fountains, trying to rinse their feet before climbing into their cars.

One day I thought: there has to be an easier way.

I wanted something simple — something you could put on right there at the beach, wait less than a minute, and then brush the sand away, almost like peeling off a thin eggshell.

No water. No fountain. No mess in the car.

That idea became an obsession.

For more than a year, I experimented. I would mix a version, take it down to the sand, put my feet in, and test it. Some were too sticky. Some would not dry. Some would not brush off cleanly. Some just did not feel good on the skin.

So I would go back, change the formula, and try again.

And again.

My wife and my adult daughter became my toughest critics. The day they both tried a version and smiled — that was the turning point. I knew I had something worth pursuing.

After more testing and refining, I arrived at the formula that became SandGoGo, and I filed a patent application to protect the invention.

SandGoGo began with one very ordinary frustration — sand stuck to your feet after a good day at the beach.
